Measure it. We’ll cut it. We do not guess at tray sizes. Measure the inside of the tray you already own — width and length, in centimetres — and we cut your replacement grass to that measurement. The tray outlasts the grass: the pile is the part that gets stood on, hosed down and worn flat, so that is the part worth replacing. - Can I buy just the grass for my dog toilet?
- Yes — that is all we sell. We cut the grass and nothing else: no tray, no frame, no grid. If the tray you own is still sound, the grass is the part that wears out, and replacing only the grass is a fraction of buying the whole thing again.
- How do I know what size to order?
- Measure the inside of the tray, not the outside — width and length, in whole centimetres — and give us those two numbers. We cut to the measurement you give us, anywhere from 30cm to 200cm on each side.
- Will it fit my brand of dog toilet?
- We are not going to claim it does. We have never had one of those trays in our hands, so a "fits brand X" promise from us would be a guess, and the first customer whose tray is 2cm different from the one we guessed at gets a useless piece of grass. What we can promise is the measurement: tell us the size and we cut to it.
- Is it the same grass as the mats?
- It is exactly the same grass, cut on the same bench. One 35mm PU-backed pet grass for the whole AIN | PET range, which is the grass we install in full gardens across Northern Ireland.
- Does the old grass go under it or come out first?
- Take the old piece out. Two layers of grass hold liquid between them, which is the one thing you are trying to get away from. The new piece sits in the tray on its own.
- Where does the liquid go?
- Straight through, as it did before. The backing is perforated and free-draining, so the tray underneath is what catches and holds anything — the grass will not hold it for you, and it will not protect a floor if there is nothing underneath it.
- How long does it take?
- It is cut for your order rather than picked off a shelf, so it is cut when the order comes in and then collected from Lisburn or sent out. We confirm timings on your order rather than promising a day on a web page.
